INFORMATION FOR SHORT-STAYS IN ITALY
NEW ZEALAND PASSPORT HOLDERS DO NOT REQUIRE A VISA FOR SHORT STAYS IN ITALY UP TO 90 DAYS.
The 90 days visa-free period is available for stays within the Schengen area.
We advise not to overstay the 90 days period as the Italian Authorities in Italy do not recognise additional visa-free days on the base of the Bilateral agreement signed on 25 January 1961.
Citizens of Tuvalu, Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati and Niue are also not required to apply for a visa to enter and stay in the Schengen area for periods up to 90 days.
New Zealand residents (with residual validity of their New Zealand visa longer than 6 months) are invited to check carefully http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/ for general information regarding if their nationality requires a visa to enter and stay in Italy.
