On June 19th 2026, the 2026 “Viaggiare Sicuri” summer campaign has been launched with the aim of promoting a culture of prevention and travel safety through a more informed use of the Crisis Unit’s technological tools, including the new versions of the website www.viaggiaresicuri.it and the related “Viaggiare Sicuri” app, while also emphasizing the importance of taking out travel insurance.
In particular, the new version of the app provides enhanced user geolocation capabilities, enabling the Crisis Unit to send personalized instructions based on users’ travel routes through push notifications and security alerts in emergency situations.
In addition, new WhatsApp channels have been introduced to facilitate the broad dissemination of useful information, further strengthening links and references to the “Viaggiare Sicuri” website.
