{"id":4533,"date":"2026-03-19T13:28:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T01:28:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambwellington.esteri.it\/?p=4533"},"modified":"2026-03-19T13:37:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T01:37:48","slug":"italian-short-film-night-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambwellington.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/03\/italian-short-film-night-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Italian Short Film Night 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Embassy of Italy in Wellington is pleased to announce its partnership with <em>Show Me Shorts<\/em>, now in its 10th year, to present\u00a0once again\u00a0<strong>the Italian Short Film Night<\/strong>, an annual event dedicated to contemporary Italian cinema.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative brings to New Zealand audiences a curated selection of six recent Italian short films, offering a range of perspectives on themes such as memory, identity, human relationships and technological change.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Il Giardino delle Delizie<\/strong> (The Garden of Delights) \u2013 a documentary set in a prison culinary school, directed by Simone Spampinato<\/li>\n<li><strong>Il Velo (The Veil)<\/strong> \u2013 a drama about a lovelorn nun, directed by Cristian Patan\u00e8<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Boy\u2019s Gaze<\/strong> \u2013 a romance about love and blindness, directed by Niccol\u00f2 Salvato (WORLD PREMIERE)<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Eggregore\u2019s Theory<\/strong> \u2013 an AI science fiction reverie, directed by Andrea Gatopoulos<\/li>\n<li><strong>Il Memorato di Novello<\/strong> (Novel of Lost Memories) \u2013 a mockumentary set in a town where people have the longest memories, directed by Bruno Ugioli, Domenico Bruzzese, Mauro Mola<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ronzio (Hum)<\/strong> \u2013 a drama about a beekeeper with ADHD, directed by Niccol\u00f2 Donatini<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The screenings will take place in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Auckland &#8211; The Capitol Cinema &#8211; 31 March<\/li>\n<li>Wellington &#8211; Light House Cuba &#8211; 1 April<\/li>\n<li>Christchurch &#8211; Alice Cinema &#8211; 1 April<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme will be presented in Italian with English subtitles, with a total running time of approximately 73 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Further information and tickets are available at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.showmeshorts.co.nz\/news\/italianshortfilmnight2026\">https:\/\/www.showmeshorts.co.nz\/news\/italianshortfilmnight2026<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Embassy of Italy in Wellington is pleased to announce its partnership with Show Me Shorts, now in its 10th year, to present\u00a0once again\u00a0the Italian Short Film Night, an annual event dedicated to contemporary Italian cinema.
