WHO\u00a0IS REQUIRED\u00a0TO REGISTER IN OUR AIRE?<\/strong>
\n\u2022Italian citizens who relocate to New Zealand for periods over 12 months or intends to stay in NZ for over 12 months;
\n\u2022Italian citizens born in New Zealand\u00a0or that\u00a0have been granted Italian citizenship in New Zealand;
\n\u2022Italian citizens who relocate to New Zealand from another country other than Italy (even if they were already AIRE registered) are required to re-apply for AIRE registration to our Embassy;<\/p>\n

Who is not required to register in AIRE:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Italian citizens who intends to stay in New Zealand for periods under 12 months;<\/p>\n

The registration A.I.R.E. is mandatory within 90 days from the day of relocation (law No. 1228 of December 24, 1954, Law No. 470 of October 27, 1988).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Those who do not register within the above deadline will incur in an administrative fine (Law No. 213 of December 30, 2023)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

HOW TO REGISTER IN AIRE?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you relocate to New Zealand please use the online procedure FAST IT<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Before sending your application through FAST IT<\/a><\/strong>, you need to upload the following documents:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. application form<\/strong> downloaded from FAST IT duly signed;<\/li>\n
  2. electronic copy of your Passport or other valid ID<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
  3. proof of residence<\/strong> in New Zealand (i.e. bank statement, utility bill, lease);<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Please note that every family member (of Italian citizenship) above the age of 18 is required to send a separate AIRE application. Minor children<\/strong> must be included in the application of one of their parents.<\/p>\n

    CHANGE OF AIRE ADDRESS:<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

    It is compulsory to notify the Embassy of any modication of your residence.<\/p>\n

    If you reside in New Zealand please notify your change of address via the online procedure FAST IT<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
