Scholarships for the Teatro alla Scala Academy for Performing Arts and Crafts – Academic Year 2026–2027

The Accademia d’Arti e Mestieri dello Spettacolo Teatro alla Scala, in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, has opened applications for the one-year Global Master in Performing Arts Management (https://www.esteri.it/it/servizi-opportunita/opportunita/borse-di-studio/per-cittadini-stranieri/progetti-speciali/accademia_teatro_alla_scala/)

Applications are open until 30 September for citizens of European Union Member States, and until 16 September for citizens of all other countries.

For the benefit of the Master’s students, the Gianluca Spina Association of the Politecnico di Milano provides three scholarships, which are awarded to three deserving students. Additional scholarships, currently being finalized, are listed on the Politecnico website: https://www.gsom.polimi.it/en/course/global-master-performing-arts-management/. These scholarships are complemented by those awarded each year by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), pursuant to a specific agreement with the Academy, to the most deserving international students enrolled in the program.

The agreement between MAECI and the Academy also provides for scholarships for international students attending the two-year advanced training course for opera singers. As the 2025–2027 cycle is currently underway, it is expected that, in the 2026–2027 academic year, the scholarships awarded in the 2025–2026 academic year will be renewed for the same beneficiaries, without prejudice to the possible reassignment of the scholarship previously granted to a student who subsequently withdrew from the program.
