At the end of February, the Honorary Consul of Italy in Auckland Lindsey Jones hosted the first recital of the year.
The concert featured an original ensemble of flute, marimba and piano, performed by Luca Manghi, Steve Logan and David Kelly. The programme included works by three New Zealand composers Bjorn Artsen, Hannah Kagawa and Michael Williams alongside pieces by Bernstein, Piazzolla and Fauré.
The evening concluded with a convivial reception celebrating Italian flavours, featuring wines from Southern Italy accompanied by Italian cheeses and panettone.
