Message from the Ambassador

For the first time there will be no celebrations of the national day because of social distancing norms and the grief for the high number of victims related to covid-19. Italian Ambassador in Wellington, Fabrizio Marcelli, sends out a message of hope and courage for the future of our country.

Italian National Anthem performed by the Black Spider Stomp Trio

Black Spider Trio is a Gypsy Jazz ensemble born in the heart of Wellington. The talents of these three virtuoso musicians combine to create a highly polished original repertoire featuring blazingly swift swing, deep sultry ballads, old-world waltzes and foot-stomping shuffles. They played packed shows to the Whanganui Jazz club, Taranaki Jazz club, Auckland’s Creative Jazz Club as well as many shows around Wellington including well received gigs at Hashigo Zake, The Lido, San Francisco Bathhouse, Meow, Rogue and Vagabond and most recently a sold out show for the 2018 Wellington Jazz fest at The Third Eye.
